Devlog: Incursion Soundtrack

 

A large sampling of music from Incursion has made it's way on to I Tunes as well as other popular music hosting services on the net.Now you can check out the awesome score from Gamesare Studio's Resident composer Sam Dillard has created for Incursion. Devlog: Sighted Around the World

We are about finished with Tilesets for different terrains on the Squad Tactics mode of the game, And I thought I would share some screenies of it, I would love to hear comments on them. Currently in the snow levels it will, yes, Snow, I have yet to decide if it should rain in the swamp levels, what do you think..

During research you will be able to unlock a tranquilizer gun which enable you to during tactics battles to instead of kill a grey sedate him, if successful you will unlock a new mini game by Sam Dillard where you can attempt to intercept and decrypt alien PSI communications, More to come on that one...

Devlog: Close Encounter of A Third Kind
 Behold the Grey!

So we have been this week polishing up the Squad Based Tactics Engine, Our friend here, is a Avatar for the Grey's you will see as part of the Stat read out during the turn based combat. Cute Isn't he! Also Ian had me make a Little Flash of green on the Greys when they "Shoot Their Green S**t at you"...

We also did some other things like Beefed up enemy AI during the night phase by adding more routines for each enemy class, and completing the Tributator attack cycle, (The big honking UFO you see in Progress Video # 3). Performed a lot of Bug Extermination work, and increased Battle FPS by 5..
Devlog: Trust No One
Build 84 is complete and incorporates new Graphics for the Turn based Strat Mode, two New buildings, the Graviton Generator and the Beam Array, Also added and changed a ton based on your comments, please keep the coming, Next I will be completing the integration of the limited research per UFO and shooting down new UFO for capture and study, Please sign up to test and give me your comments!

* Changed Continue New Game Menu
* Added the Beam Array Building, shoots down incoming fire automatically
* Added the graviton Generator, Created small blackhole sucking in Enemy fire

Devlog: 75% Grey sightings in the US

   

Thats correct, over 75% of all Alien sightings reported in the USA are described as Greys, And they have invaded incursion as well, in two of three new mini games almost complete....

Grey Mini Games


-Autopsy
Using recovered Grey cadavers cut and remove certain shaped organs and attempt to identify them...
--Awards Bonus Biology Points

-Interrogation
Speak to a Grey using telepathy and try to decipher what they are saying...
--Awards Random Bonus Point based on Conversation

The Third new one is a integral part of the reworked game flow, When the "Interceptor" mini game appears you have to shoot down I high altitude UFO that appears by deploying interceptors from one of 24 bases world wide, if you select the correct one and it intercepts the UFO then you enter into a shoot down mode, if you successfully shot down the UFO you are awarded a bonus stat, and if you shoot down the UFO over land then you can attempt to perform a recovery mission...

These mini games like the others will randomly occur during the shift between night to day phase, these two bring the total mini games up to 6...

I have also finished a functioning save and load system using a combo of the INI++ Object and the new built in Save state in MMF...

Current to Do List

a. More Tilesets for Recovery maps / and make more maps
b. Complete enemy night phase AI
c. Finish the limited research points per captured UFO system

Hope to have some new Screenies soon....
