Review: Reel Quest
Reel Quest a simple arcade style game that engages you in the joy of fishing, even if you have never held a rod and reel this game makes the most fun out of the sport. The game is very simplistic in the graphics, and game play. There is a short story you are giving in pieces of video clips throughout the 50 levels. You are looking for treasure that an old pirate captain hid on an island and some that were thrown into the ocean to lighten the load. You start the game out designing your character and
picking your form of sea transportation ranging from canoes to blow up
floats.
I thought this added a bit extra because you get to personalize your characters features and clothes. The point of the game is to hoover over the various locations of ocean and cast your rod and reel in as many fish as you can in two minutes. There are various trophies you can earn and extras you can buy to help you reel in the most fish possible. For example, the first fish you catch on your line is called the multiplier, so catch as many of that kind on your line before you reel it in for bonus points and money. As your leveling progresses the game will throw in obstacles to hinder your fish catches such as eel, weather problems, jellyfish or sharks.
The game is fun to play but lacks any real skill on the player's part. Everyone can be a winner with this game. It is just a fun way to pass the time. It is repetitive but entertaining. I have no real objections to this game other than after about an hour i was almost through the game, that is how easy the game play is going to be for most. This would be a game that if I purchased would be the type of game you just boot up to play whenever you have a few minutes to spare, like you would play on your phone while waiting for a doctor appt. Still I think it was fun and I would recommend given it a shot.

Review: Youda Sushi Chef
Youda Sushi chef is one of the most unique time management restaurant games I've played to date. This restaurant version is completely different from your typical restaurant management game. You will still serve customers in a different layout then going to tables and placing orders, you will be operating on a conveyor belt instead. Also as the title of the game suggest you will be the sushi chef! You will learn how to make as kinds of sushi recipes in a face-paced environment to become the best sushi chef in town with the highest reputation.
You will start off by naming your restaurant and building it up with the upgrades you will purchase with your earnings. Upgrades included are those of appearance such as fish tanks, new place mats, chairs, and others, but you also purchase new knives for your tricks, a faster conveyor belt, and even Saki to improve customers happiness. Your customers will come in sit down at your serving and preparing bar, give their order and it's up to you to keep them happy while they wait, pouring them Saki or providing a flying knife trick. When you get ready to prepare their order you have a sushi recipe book to instruct you on how to prepare certain dishes and a bar full of ingredients to choose from.
If you prepare a dish wrong it will remain on the conveyor belt until you purchase a trash bend, if you prepare the correct order the customer will pull it off the belt and eat it, but watch out if someone sits in front of your waiting customer and orders the same sushi they will grab the other persons order, so it is very important to be quick and keep the waiting customers happy. You must also keep an eye on your total of ingredients, for when the are running low you must use the phone and menu to reorder more, if you forget you can order express but you will have to pay for it.
I really enjoyed this game. It is unique and fresh and very entertaining. The soundtrack gave the game a nice Asian feel and the graphics are well done. I thought the whole concept of making the sushi and reading the recipe added a new twist, and if you ever wanted to know what is in the sushi you eat here is your chance to find out. In the beginning it was hard for me to catch on to the fast pace and trying to remember the recipes so I didn't want to have to waste time continually looking them up, but after a few tries it became surprisingly easy and I was able to just concentrate on pacing myself with orders and recipes. I recommend you at least give this game a try, it is hard to not become addicted to because it's new and not your typical dash game.

Review: Townopolis
Townopolis is a new strategy game out for PC. This game centers around the building of cities and improving upon existing neighborhoods. There is really not a story plot to this game other than the basic story that you are head of a construction company and you are working for various mayors of different towns and cities. The game is real basic your one main objective is to turn dwindling towns into thriving cities using the basics of materials, and workers. Every level of achievement will unlock new building plans or blueprints for gardens, industry or government buildings, as well as new residential buildings and features.
You must fulfill the goals and if you feel like you can take on the challenge there are elective goals posted at the top you can work towards as well. While building and constructing your city you will also be asked to check on your residents in the community and keep them happy as well as make repairs if asked.
The graphics for this game are real simple and basic as is the play of the gaming concept. You basically work of a diamond shape board the whole game, just slightly altered in appearance for each level. There is no background graphics either, just a blue screen and icons indicating your supplies. You have a tutorial guide as you move through the first few levels. I personally found their form of a tutorial to be annoying because you are playing a timed game and in order to do well you must achieve your goals in a timely fashion, well the clock does not stop for your tutorial instructions, so either you for go your timed achievements or wing it without a tutorial.
Once you get past the tutorial levels the object of the game is quite clear in understanding and achieving. I did however find it difficult to achieve my goals in the allotted expert time frame you are given first, I ran over a few minutes each time. So the game is very challenging and you need to apply a lot of thought as to what you need to do first in order to reach your goals and succeed.
I think the game has an interesting concept and can be a great way to kill time, but I am not sure I would buy this game right away. I did like the game and the whole idea behind it and the strategy to the whole gameplay was creative. I just find there are other games out there right now with the same concept that I personally found to be more entertaining and engaging such as Aquapolis. So I am not marking it off my list just not placing it on the top of my list of purchase right now, but I do recommend you trying the demo and finding out for yourself, maybe you will like it better than I did.

Review: Margrave Manor 2 The Lost Ship
Margrave Manor 2: The Lost Ship is the follow-up to The Secret to Margrave Manor. This is a hidden object game and contains many different puzzle types within the game. You are Edwina Margrave who recently found out she was the granddaughter to a famous treasure hunter Edwin Margrave. Edwin Margrave's ship vanished ten years prior to where our game picks up, but recently has reappeared in the harbor. With the help of her friend it is up to Edwina Margrave to find out what happened to her grandfather and his ship as well as find the treasure he so desperately sought after for many years.
This game sets up the basic game play of a hidden object concept. You are searching for the items on Edwina's list in various rooms of the newly found ship. You search through abandons decks, galleys, captain's quarters and so on. All the while you will come across various objects that you will keep on you for future use such as scrapes of papers, jewels, key cards, etc. These items will be of use solving other puzzles you will encounter throughout the game in between your hidden object board. There are key cracking codes you must solve to gain access into locked areas, there is a puzzle where you must find the difference between the two pictures.
There is even a puzzle where you must put together a series of jewels symmetrically in order to break the code to unlock it and gain access to it's contents mas well. All of these puzzle will lead you to solving the fate of your grandfather and discover the hidden treasure hidden by him.
The game play and story are well done with creepy graphics and eerie music playing in the background. The creators really did create a somewhat uneasy and spooky feel to the game. I did enjoy this game and the many different types of puzzle solving techniques incorporated in the game as well, but I did find that over time it does seem to become a bit repetitive and I was becoming a little board with the hidden object levels. There are twenty chapters to this game which contain six hidden object boards throughout, so it can get a bit slow. having said that I did enjoy it for the most part and the graphics and music are really well done and I would buy this eventually.

Review: Aquapolis
Aquapolis is a strategy & time management type of game with it's backdrop under the sea. There is not much of a story with this game other than you are a contractor building up your reputation in various underwater neighborhoods. This particular game does not need much of a story to it anyway, you are just constructing request from the town's steward and completing the goals set forth for you and your crew. The first neighborhood you are summoned to is called Shipwreck. This is where you meet your first steward and receive your instruction and tutorial information. You are going to be timed so managing your goals and fulfilling your responsibilities are key, which by the way of doing so you will receive the key to the city.
You start of with a crew of sharks, usually 4 on most boards, but in the beginning it will vary and of coarse you always have the option of hiring additional help. You earn your money by acquiring rent from all you buildings. The colored buildings or lots are yours, the black and white ones are not, but keep an eye out property is up for sell all the time. You have a set amount of building supplies in the form of coral, which you will need to replenish from time to time depending on how much you build. Throughout the game you are given new building plans for a multitude of buildings in the categories of residential, commercial, industrial, and a garden variety to keep the environment healthy.
Each building and upgraded property brings in various amounts of clams, or money as we know it, and require a different amount of workers, or sharks, for each task.
I have read that there are a few bugs in this game, but I personally did not encounter any by the time I received the demo for reviewing. However saying that some of the complaints were related to the timer clock not keeping accurate time, the goals not being checked off once completed and, the steward's conversation with you being cut off mid-sentence. Having acknowledge these complaints and playing the demo myself I would not see any of these items or complaints as a hinder to the game and it's initial play. Hopefully those complaints were fixed prior to me playing and is the reason I did not encounter them. I do however recommend the game to you. I found it creative and very easy to play. The graphics were simple and instructions were easy to follow. I was a little disappointed when the demo was over because I wanted to finish it. So now like everyone else I will have to purchase it. I think overall it is very well done and has the potential to suck you right in to playing for hours.

Review: Wedding Dash 3 Ready Aim Love!
This is the third installment in the spin-off Diner Dash series Wedding Dash. This is a great series of games and widely popular among PC users. The Wedding Dash series centers around wedding planner Quinn. She is always looking for love as she creates lavish but budgeted weddings for her clients. With the help of Diner Dash's Flo working at her side she might find her true love after all. Wedding Dash 3 Appropriately titled Ready, Aim, Love introduces a new main character, Cupid. Cupid is having problems filling his quota of matches at the present time, one of which is Quinn and her boyfriend Joe. Quinn is busy planning her wedding but Joe has not even asked yet because Cupid can't find the time to strike him with an arrow.
When Quinn finds out about
this she strikes a deal with Cupid to help him complete his matches and
plan the weddings, if he aims an arrow for Joe, so she can be one of
the happily ever afters she works so hard to create for everyone else. In this version the overflow of wedding chaos sends Quinn scouting for new locations, some of which do not typically host weddings, such as a rustic barn or aquarium, providing the player with new and fresh levels to create wedding bliss. As keeping with the tradition of the first two Wedding Dashes, you must decipher the bride and grooms wishes and budget your picks accordingly.
You must seat guest according to their desired seating,
serve the three course meal, with the help of Flo, and take care of any
wedding day drama, such as wedding crashers. This is the most entertaining version in the series and if you like the first two Wedding Dashes you will certainly like this version, and if you have never played any of them you should play this one, you will not be disappointed.

Review: Dream Day Wedding Viva Las Vegas
Wedding in Las Vegas is another installment of the popular Dream Day Wedding series. The latest wedding planning fiasco takes place in the lavish and bright city of Las Vegas as a wedding should. There is colorful and bright back drops, new disasters and lots of fun hidden object game play. This version stands alone as it offers the player the feel of a real wedding planner, and plenty of different levels of play. You must put up with a flighty bride who basically leaves everything down to the smallest request to you and a mother-in-law that can be demanding. You get to run all over Las Vegas and the resort planning the perfect day for your bride.
You will have to collect or earn money to spend on decorations, music, flowers, and even food, that you as the player get to customize.
There are about 60 different challenges, and about 10 different variations of the popular hidden object style this game has always delivered. You have to solve puzzles, find objects in the basic hide-and-seek fashion, as well as follow directions to bake a wedding cake. This version by far incorporates more interaction of the game where you will feel like you really could be a wedding day planner. The new backdrop scenes and locations make for a new and interesting place for your challenges, and the new versions of the game play are very well done and mix well with the theme of the game. I really enjoyed this version....
I think it is my favorite and will be one of the more played version in the series. this is a very highly addicting game where your time does not feel wasted at the end.
